Agreement to these terms

This website is operated by Conrad Consulting Company ("Conrad", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What this site is and is not

The site describes Conrad and the kinds of systems we investigate, design, build and connect. Nothing on it is a binding offer, a quotation, or a commitment to a particular feature, timeframe, support level, result or price. Sending an inquiry or booking a conversation does not create a service agreement. Scope, fees, responsibilities, intellectual property, confidentiality, support and every other term of an engagement are set out in a separate written agreement signed by both parties.

The site does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, security or other professional advice. Decisions you make based on its content are your own.

Examples, demonstrations and illustrations

The example businesses on this site, their names, logos, stories, figures and the "example project" pages are original illustrations written by Conrad to show the kinds of problems we work on and how we would approach them. They are not client engagements, endorsements or customer statements, and any resemblance to a real organization with a similar name is coincidental. The figures shown are stated assumptions, not measured results, forecasts or guarantees.

The interactive examples run on sample records and fixed rules inside your browser. They do not connect to live systems, send messages, book appointments, process payments or execute operational plans. Each one implements a limited part of what a finished product would do. Production use of any of these ideas requires its own requirements, permissions, configuration, testing and operating plan.

Acceptable use

You may browse the site and use the examples for their intended purpose. You must not disrupt or overload the site, probe or circumvent its security or abuse controls, scrape it at scale, submit false, harmful, defamatory or unlawful material, impersonate anyone, or use the forms to send unsolicited marketing. Keep credentials, confidential records, sensitive personal information and payment details out of forms and example fields.

Inquiries and conversations

The inquiry form emails your message to Conrad. The confirmation you see means the message was accepted for delivery; it does not guarantee that it arrived, that we will reply, or that we will reply by a particular time. The booking page submits a request for a conversation. It does not show availability or reserve a time. A meeting exists only when we have confirmed a time with you separately.

Intellectual property

The design, text, artwork, example businesses, software and other content on this site belong to Conrad or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the site and make copies for your own reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell or create derivative works from the content, or use the Conrad name or marks, without our written permission. Third-party fonts and software remain under their own licenses. Naming another organization on the site does not grant any right to its name, logo or material.

Disclaimers

The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the servers that make it available are free of harmful components. Content may contain inaccuracies or be out of date, and we may change or remove it at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Conrad and its owners, employees, contractors and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of or inability to use the site or its content, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Conrad and its owners, employees, contractors and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or any material you submit through it.

Third-party services and links

The site is hosted and its email is delivered by Cloudflare, which operates under its own terms and privacy practices. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link does not imply a client relationship, partnership or endorsement.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

Changes and contact

We may update the site and these terms at any time. The date at the top shows when the terms were last updated, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
