The customer asks

Need 24 of the 20 mm couplings, same kind as last time, by demo day 4. Deliver to our usual place. Please take 12% off the order. Can you get a quote over?

Start by checking what the customer needs.

Explore the processing-time model

An illustrative workload model

Time made available for other work

Compare repetitive processing time, while retaining human exception review in both workflows. The inputs are assumptions, not observed client measurements.

Manual workflow / month68 h
Connected workflow / month28 h

Modeled staff capacity released / month40 h

Monthly time = requests × [processing minutes + (exception rate × extra review minutes)] ÷ 60. Apply the formula to each workflow, then subtract.

4 h of human exception review is included in each workflow. Released staff capacity is time available for other work, not cash savings or guaranteed revenue.

  1. Harborline needs 24 couplings but has not specified the variant or delivery location.
  2. The heavy-duty option has only 18 in stock. The standard item has enough stock. Confirm the delivery location and check again.
  3. The 12% discount is above the 10% limit. Approve it as the reviewer, or choose a 5% discount instead.
  4. Accept the quote in the demo and prepare the order. Its items, delivery details, price, and approval stay together.
  5. Open the other requests to see a straightforward order and one that was already completed. Reset restores every starting record and assumption.

This is a fixed workflow demonstration. It does not send documents, place real orders, or connect to a business system.
